Cindy Flores Bush
Cindy Flores Bush brings 8 years of experience as a Community Health Worker to the table. As an educator and Health Coach Navigator for the Salud en Mis Manos program, she’s passionate about empowering individuals. Her work with South Coastal AHEC on projects like Diabetes Management and COVID-19 vaccination outreach demonstrates her dedication to community health. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she bridges language barriers and ensures everyone has access to vital resources. Her passion lies in helping people in our communities live healthier lives.
Juanita Lopez
Juanita Lopez has dedicated countless hours to supporting her family, taking on roles like room mother and costume mistress. In 2004, her commitment extended to the broader community with the co-founding of the South Texas Colonias Initiative alongside her husband, Lionel Lopez. For over 40 years, she’s been a tireless advocate for underserved colonia residents and women’s health. Her fight for environmental justice and health equity has taken her across the country, and her dedication has been recognized with numerous awards.
